Name of the project:

Increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in manufacturing industries - construction of a photovoltaic power plant, compensation of reactive energy, replacement of fluorescent lamps with high-efficiency LED sources, air-water heat pumps and utilization of waste heat from oil cooling in metal heat treatment tanks and from compressor cooling aggregate

Short description of the project:

  • Revitalization of electrical installations - effective lighting systems. The project plans to replace fluorescent lamps with a low Im/W ratio in lighting fixtures with high-efficiency LED sources, in the interior of the production hall and office spaces.
  • The project plans to build a photovoltaic power plant. The designed photovoltaic plant has an installed panel power of 633,600 W.
  • The investors intend to install a reactive energy compensation device that will correct the power factor from the current cos fi = 0.96 to the desired cos fi =1, which should lead to a large reduction in delivered energy before the measures are implemented
  • Installation of new systems for the production of thermal and/or cooling energy, energy for heating sanitary and/or technological water and energy for heating and cooling spaces with heat pumps using water as a heating and cooling medium, utilization of waste heat from oil cooling in heat treatment tanks of metal, utilization of waste heat from cooling the compressor unit, by purchasing a new unit for compressed air

Goals and expected results of the project:

The goal of reducing the amount of energy delivered to the project unit will be achieved by implementing these measures aimed at increasing energy efficiency, that is, improvements that result in lower energy consumption (savings) and measures aimed at using renewable energy sources, that is, by installing equipment that, by producing energy from renewable sources, can replace energy supplied from distribution networks (electricity, natural gas).

The results of the implementation of these project proposal activities will save the energy delivered to the project unit for a total of 1,659,908.00 kWh, which is also a contribution to the call indicator "Energy saving in manufacturing industries)". The increased amount of renewable energy in the gross final consumption of the project unit is 1,016,582kWh, which is also the project's contribution to the call indicator "Amount of renewable energy in the gross final energy consumption in manufacturing industries".

All of the above makes it possible to achieve the goal of the project "Reduce the delivered energy to the project unit. by 40.11%.

Total value of the project: The total value of the project is HRK 4,492,513.00. The amount co-financed by the EU is HRK 2,506,590.25.

Project implementation period: from September 1, 2020. until 01.03.2023.
